The Erasmus+ -Key Action 2- Capacity Building in the field of Higher Education Co-operation in Quality Assurance for Pharmacy Education and Training between Europe and Latin America (COPHELA) has been launched. The project will develop a program of specialization in community, hospital and industrial pharmacy that will allow the professional development considering the trends and advances in therapy.
The technology of the massive online courses (MOOC) that will be used seeks to eliminate the temporary, physical and economic barriers to access training and will result in benefits for patients. (More information: Antonio Sánchez Pozo, sanchezp@go.ugr.es).
The Kick-Off meeting was held at the headquarters of the Mexican Pharmaceutical Association, on March 11 and 12, with the participation of all the partner institutions as well as a broad representation of the Autonomous Metropolitan University, Xochimilco unit and of different entities among which the Mexican Pharmaceutical Association, The National College of Pharmaceutical Chemists Biologists of Mexico, the National Chamber of the Pharmaceutical Industry of Mexico, the National Academy of Pharmaceutical Sciences of Mexico, the Ibero-American Conference of Faculties of Pharmacy (COIFFA), the Union of Universities of Latin America and the Caribbean (UDUAL), the Ibero-American Academy of Pharmacy, the Postgraduate Ibero-American Association of Universities (AUIP), the National Academy of Pharmacy of Brazil, the European Association of Faculties of Pharmacy (EAFP) , the General Council of Pharmaceutical Chambers of Spain, the Spanish Association of Hospital Pharmacy and the European Commission Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA).
The responsible for the project at UNIFESP, Prof. Dr. Claudia Fegadolli (Institute of Environmental, Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences), participated in the meeting with the team composed by the administrative technique in education Yara Ferreira Marques and the coordinator of production EaD and instructional design Felipe Vieira Pacheco.
