Dirceu Marchini Neto é Professor do Departamento de História da Universidade Federal de São Paulo (UNIFESP). Foi Pesquisador Visitante do Comitê de Estudos Medievais da Universidade de Harvard, para realização de pesquisa pós-doutoral. É Doutor em História pela Universidade de Brasília, Mestre em História Medieval e do Renascimento pela Universidade do Porto, Licenciado em História pela Universidade Federal de Goiás e Bacharel em Direito pela Universidade Paulista. Atualmente, é membro da Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East (SSCLE), da Sociedade Latino-americana de Estudos sobre Cruzadas e Ordens Militares, da Associação Brasileira de Estudos Medievais (ABREM), da Associação Nacional de História (ANPUH-SP) e integrante do conselho editorial da Signum - Revista da ABREM. Dedica-se ao estudo de: História Medieval e do Renascimento, Cruzadas, Ordens Militares, Mundo Mediterrânico e Península Ibérica Medieval.
Dirceu Marchini Neto is an Assistant Professor at Federal University of São Paulo and was a Visiting Scholar in Medieval Studies at Harvard University (Spring and Fall Semesters, 2020). He holds a Ph.D. in History from the University of Brasilia and a M.A. in Medieval and Renaissance History from the University of Porto. Dr. Marchini Neto also studied at the Federal University of Goiás, where he attended a B.A. in History, and studied at the Paulista University, where he majored in Law. Currently, Dr. Marchini Neto is a member of the Society for the Study of the Crusades and the Latin East (SSCLE), the Latin American Society for the Study of the Crusades and Military Orders, the Brazilian Association on Medieval Studies (ABREM), the National History Association (ANPUH) and the editorial board of Signum - ABREM's Review. He is the author of several articles and book chapters. Current research interests: Medieval and Renaissance Cultures, Late Medieval Social and Political History, Crusades, Military Orders, Western Mediterranean, and Medieval Iberia.
